It’s time for a contract. We’re ready. Is the board?

For more than 16 months we have been trying to reach a settlement with the city’s school board. We’ve been working without a contract all year. We are ready to accept the recommendations of a neutral fact-finder to reach a deal. We implore the board to join us and settle — our students deserve no less.

Here’s what we are fighting for.

Let’s settle. Now.

We accept the factfinding report

A neutral factfinder took hours of testimony from us and the board. He issued his recommendations a month later. Despite being far less than we were seeking, the report gives us a path toward settlement. We urge the board to join us and accept the report, ink a deal, and spend the next three years being the best at what we all do.

Get involved for a fair contract

As Rutland’s teachers have done, let your city school board know that it’s past time for a contract settlement. Write a letter. Attend a meeting. Make a call. Join us at an informational picket. Sign our petition. Let’s get a contract now without disrupting the school year.
